Little Mix taking home the Best Live Act Award at this year’s O2 Silver Clef Awards!

Votes have been cast and counted, with Little Mix taking home the Best Live Act Award at this year’s O2 Silver Clef Awards. The accolade, sponsored by Ticketmaster and Live Nation, is the only award voted for by the public.

Mixers have proved their dedication, fighting off competition from the likes of Beyonce, Coldplay, Stormzy, and Take That. The votes saw Little Mix storm ahead with over 50% of the total, joining previous winners One Direction, Arctic Monkeys, and Sir Paul McCartney.

“We can’t thank our fans enough for awarding us with the Best Live Act,” Little Mix say of their win. “To win in such company as these nominees, and be the first female act to take home the award is an incredibly proud moment for us. We have so much respect for Nordoff Robbins and the work that they do, it is such a wonderful charity. We really are so honoured to receive this award at the O2 Silver Clefs today.”

Little Mix are currently on a huge arena tour, taking in 60 shows across Europe, Australia and Asia. To date, they celebrate four UK No.1 singles, with over one billion YouTube and Vevo views.

“Ticket selling phenomenon Little Mix made history by becoming the first and only group to win the X Factor, and thanks to their loyal fans, they are now the first female act to win the Best Live Act award,” says Ticketmaster UK MD, Andrew Parsons. “It was great to see the band make the shortlist for the second year in a row, and winning the award is thoroughly deserved.”

Little Mix were one of ten artists shortlisted for the prize, handpicked by a panel of music industry experts.

Read Norma’s story – Team Thirlwall

Doing the Boxing Day Dip for Cancer Connections because they are an amazing charity that need donations

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Our dear Auntie Norma passed away in October this year with Pancreatic Cancer. Karl, Leoni, Jade and Karl Jnr are all going to run into the freezing North Sea to help raise money for Cancer Connections in memory of her very brave fight against this horrible disease.

Any donation made, no matter how small it is, will make a difference to help people and their families making the journey though cancer.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
