Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson has pulled out of another gig after injuring her ankle during a show in Kuala Lumpur.
She apparently tore a ligament during a vigorous dance routine at the Malaysian capital’s Live at Life Centre on Saturday night and had to leave the stage halfway through the set – but the show went on without her.
The singer posted a picture of her swollen foot and captioned it: ‘Torn the ligaments in my ankle but resting up for the Singapore show on Monday… Just maybe no dancing for me.’
Jesy shared a photo of her swollen foot on Instagram after the show, telling her fans: ‘Oh god guys it’s always me so so gutted I couldn’t perform for the last part of the KL show tonight!’
In March the group had to cancel two shows in Belfast, which were later rescheduled, after Jesy came down with a mysterious illness and there were question marks over further shows in the UK.
The group are next scheduled to perform at Singapore’s Star Performing Arts Centre on Monday
Jesy has been having an emotional time of late and before her previous cancelled shows she had burst into tears after giving a speech about body confidence on stage in Dublin.
Addressing the crowd, she began: ‘If you’re ever feeling really c**p about yourself or not feeling confident this is exactly why we wrote this song…’ before pausing to compose herself.
While her bandmates rushed to comfort her, the star struggled to hold back her tears as she continued: ‘I’m so emotional. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.’

The girls performed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia yesterday (May 21th).
KUALA LUMPUR: One of the UK’s biggest girl groups, Little Mix, gave the audience a show-stopping performance at KL Live in Jalan Sultan Ismail tonight. The group, comprising Jade Thirlwall, 23, Perrie Edwards, 22, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 24, and Jesy Nelson 25, are in town for the Southeast Asian leg of their The Get Weird Tour.
“Tonight is all about you (the fans), so let your hair down and have fun!,” said Perrie, before breaking into their catchy number, Move. Halfway through the 90-minute show, Jesy injured herself while performing, and she was seen limping as she headed towards the backstage. But the rest soldiered on even though they were one member down. They continued to give the audience a super energetic performance throughout the concert. In Weird People, the group got everyone on their feet, jumping and singing along to the fast-paced music. “Kuala Lumpur is our best stop so far! You know every word to our songs. Perhaps we should all come back,” teased Perrie before kicking off the final song for the night, Black Magic.
