“Hiya guys!
Just a quick catch up with you before we jump in the cab to the studio to work on the Little Mix album, weyyy. We’re all SO excited about releasing it – it’s a total variety of sounds. We always get asked ‘Is everything just gonna sound like Wings?’ and we’re like ‘No!’. We all love so many different styles of music, and we’ve kind of merged it together for the album, so we’ve got a bit of everything there – there’s something for everyone. We might even have some ballads on there… but I’m not letting anything on yet.
I’m really nervous about releasing Wings, but dead excited at the same time. I’ve got a lot of faith in it and I’m really proud of it – I think we all are. It’s an amazing introduction to Little Mix: this is us, this is how we are, this is our sound, kind of thing. We were on The X Factor for so long doing covers so it’s nice to show people what we’re about now – but at the same time we’ve had that song for SO long, it’s weird for people to be hearing it now.
We knew it would be the first single from the beginning, there were no other contenders, it was Wings straight away. When we heard it we were all like ‘Yep, definitely, this is the one!’ At the moment we haven’t got any collaborations confirmed for the album, I think for this album we just wanted to get our sound out there – well, there might be one, but so far there aren’t any sorted like. Oh my god, I’d LOVE to do one with Destiny’s Child, or the Spice Girls – or Steve Perry! Perrie and Steve Perry, ha.
For the Wings video, we got up at like 4am, then didn’t get finished ’til about 3 in the morning – it was like a 24hr video! It was really hard work but it was so much fun, I think we were just running off adrenaline. We had to try and keep on schedule all day, and four girls getting their hair and make-up done – it’s not easy, d’you know what I mean?! Like, girls getting ready for a night out – it comes to the point where you’re like, “I look awful! This is awful! Just take it all off I’m starting again!” haha, but that’s just being a girl d’you know what I mean, it’s always hard to keep on schedule!

“It all started as a conversation in Miami with one of my closest friends, Gabby, and she told me she wanted to do a bikini line and her boyfriend had bought her a sewing machine. I said, ‘seriously? Because that is exactly what I want to do!’”
