Little Mix dominates charts with multiple singles and a record breaking milestone:

After winning the 2017 BRIT Award for Best British Single, girl group Little Mix once again prove they’re at the top of their game and truly living the glory days. The world is certainly hungry for more Little Mix and with 17 consecutive top 20 hits under their belt, it’s a safe bet.

Recent single ‘Power’, featuring U.K. male rapper Stormzy, entered the top 10 on the Official UK singles chart last week and has just recently been certified Silver for selling 200,000+ units. It has so far peaked at #9. In addition the girls’ music video for ‘Power’ received universal acclaim by critics and fans especially for its LGBTQ+, black excellence, and girl power references.

So far, ‘Glory Days’ has had four very successful singles. They’ve been so successful that in addition to ‘Power’ charting, their three prior singles ‘Shout Out To My Ex’ (#89) , ‘Touch’ (#73), and ‘No More Sad Songs’ (#61) are also still charting on the Official UK singles chart. This is the first time a girl group has had this many singles charting at the same time since global phenomenon the Spice Girls, whose debut ‘Wannabe’ followed up by ‘Say You’ll Be there’, and ‘2 Become 1’ all charted simultaneously throughout their 20+ week stays. This was repeated again when ‘Wannabe’ dropped out and ‘Mama/Who Do You Think You Are’ charted together with ‘Say You’ll Be There’ and ‘2 Become 1’.

Little Mix aren’t new to breaking chart records and have previously done so even at the beginning of their careers when debut album DNA earned the highest debut Billboard chart position by a British girl group, breaking the record previously held by the Spice Girls’ debut album Spice (1996).

After the release of their fourth studio album Glory Days, they also became the first British girl group with four top 40 studio albums on the Billboard 200 chart.

The girl group have already begun their biggest tour to date: the Glory Days tour. The European leg started on May 24th in Germany at the Mercedes-Benz Arena and is scheduled to end November 26th in London at the O2 Arena.
