10 Common Dating Rules, Debunked By Little Mix
posted by: Summer Buzzfeed Interview Little Mix Q&A

Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – better known as the ladies of Little Mix – have been taking the world by storm since their X Factor win back in 2011. They’re all about girl power, so when BuzzFeed met up with the band backstage at their recent secret gig with Cornetto, we put them to the test and asked them to debunk some common dating rules we found in women’s magazines…

Rule #1: Never kiss on the first date.
Leigh-Anne: It depends!
Jesy: I mean, it depends where the night takes you. It’s not that bad.
Perrie: There’s nothing wrong with kissing on the first date! However you feel.
Leigh-Anne: Yep, however you feel.

Rule #2: The guy should always pay for the first date.
Jesy: I do think on a first date it’s nice.
Perrie: It is nice, but I wouldn’t really mind.
Leigh-Anne: I think you should take it in turns. At least offer.
Jade: Or you leave the tip!
Jesy: You leave a £1 tip. [laughs]

Rule #3: Always wait a few hours to respond to a text.
Perrie: A few hours?!
Leigh-Anne: D’you know what, these relationship games get on my nerves. If you like someone, and they like you, just message them and be done with it. I’m sick of seeing all my friends going, “Oh, should I message him back yet? He hasn’t messaged me for a day, should I wait?”
Perrie: It’s horrible.
Jesy: But you never want to be clingy.
Leigh-Anne: Just take it as it comes!

Rule #4: The guy should be the first to text you after a first date.
Jesy: Yes! Win!
Jade: Yeah, it’s nice. It’s good for a girl’s confidence. It’s very gentlemanly.

Rule #5: The guy should always initiate the first kiss.
Leigh-Anne: I’m not sure, because if you feel it-
Jesy: NO.
Perrie: I wouldn’t have the confidence to kiss someone first!
Leigh-Anne: But if you both know it’s going to happen anyway…
Jesy: If he wants to do it, he’ll do it.
Perrie: I like a man who’ll take control.
Leigh-Anne: Get drunk and just do it!
BuzzFeed: That’s another question…

Rule #6: Don’t have more than two drinks on the first date.
Jade: Naaaaahhh.
Perrie: Definitely not, I drink loads on the first date! I have pre-drinks!
Jesy: It didn’t work out well for me. Well, it did. In the end.

Rule #7: Don’t wear bold lipstick on a date.
Leigh-Anne: But if it’s the first date, and you don’t want to kiss him…
Jesy: It’s a good idea, yeah!

Rule #8: Don’t wear heels on a date.
Jade: I’d agree with that. I’d be scared I would fall over or something.
Leigh-Anne: No, I’d want to be elevated and feel hot.
BuzzFeed: What if you end up being taller?
Jade: Then you know they’re too short for you.

Rule #9: Don’t talk about exes or other dates.
Jade: I hate when they talk about their ex.
Jesy: Yeah, no one wants to know.

And finally, Rule #10: Never use cheesy pick-up lines.
Jesy: I think if they do it on purpose, and it’s a joke, it can be funny.
Leigh-Anne: So you would say win, then.
Jesy: No, because I don’t believe in it, so I’m saying fail.
Perrie: I’ll tell you what, never give Little Mix bats. It just confuses them!

Little Mix reveal their next career goals
posted by: Summer Interview Little Mix

LITTLE Mix may be one of the most successful groups in the world right now but their chart topping days could soon be put on hold.
Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson admit while they can’t get enough of singing what they really want to do is act. Opening up to Daily Star Online, Jesy explained: “We have achieved so much so far but there is also so much more we want to do in terms of our careers. “We want to properly crack America, do the VMAs and also a stadium tour. “We’d love our to do our own TV show too.” Leigh-Anne continued: “We say this every year but I think it’s time we did a film and did some acting. “Not as individuals but we would love to do it all together.” Little Mix are currently gearing up to release the lead single from their hotly anticipated fourth album. Reportedly titled Shout Out To My Ex, the track is thought to be an upbeat girl anthem. Speaking about the upcoming record, Jesy revealed: “It’s a lot more mature in terms of lyrics and also a lot more dancey as well. “We feel more pressure as Get Weird did so well. “We definitely take it up a notch per album.”

Little Mix hint that they could play Wembley Stadium
posted by: Summer Interview Little Mix Tour

They embarked on a huge world tour earlier this year, but Little Mix have now hinted that they could be set to play one of the biggest venues of all – Wembley Stadium.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk last night at a secret London gig for Cornetto’s Make A Move Campaign, the girls admitted that they would love to headline the iconic venue on their next tour – which is set to take place next year after the anticipated release of their fourth album.

‘Oh god we’d love to’, singer Jesy Nelson told us.

‘I mean yeah, it can only really get there can’t it? The tours are getting bigger so that’s what we’d like to aim for.’

But when further pressed as to whether plans were already afoot for a show at the 90,000 capacity venue, Jesy was cryptic, refusing to rule out the prospect.

‘Who knows?’ she said. ‘Fingers crossed.’

The X Factor winners also confirmed that their fourth studio album will be released before the end of the year – and teased about taking their sound in a whole new direction.

‘It’s going to be a lot dancier’, Perrie Edwards told us.

But the girls remained tight-lipped when quizzed about any big name collaborations on the new record, having previously teamed up with Missy Elliot for How Ya’ Doin, and Jason Derulo on Secret Love Song.

However, they revealed that they would be up for joining forces with US girl group Fifth Harmony on a track in the future – a prospect that is bound to send the fans of both groups into meltdown.

‘Yes! Imagine the sass’, Perrie Edwards said.

‘The hair whips would be off the scale’, Jade Thirlwall added.

It’s a prospect that can’t come soon enough.

Little Mix Q&A with SugarScape & BTS of Wishmaker
posted by: Summer BTS Interview Little Mix Q&A Videos Wishmaker

If you could have one wish, what would it be and why?
Leigh: To have a thousand more wishes.
Perrie: I would wish health, wealth and happiness on my loved ones forever.
Jade: It would be to be in a girl band forever.
Jesy: To have even more wishes.

What song do you wish you’d written?
Leigh: dvsn – ‘The Line’
Jesy: ‘Uptown Funk’
Perrie: ‘Diamonds’ by Rihanna. Sia is one of the best singer-songwriters ever. In my opinion up there with Whitney, Mariah and Celine.
Jade: ‘Run the World (Girls)’ – Beyoncé

What’s one trend you’ve tried you wish you hadn’t?
Leigh: Velvet Suspender leggings.
Jesy: Gelled-back hair.
Perrie: I don’t ever really follow trends, so none tbh.
Jade: UGG boots.

Is there a Little Mix song you wish had been a single?
Leigh: ‘I Love You’
Jesy: ‘Grown’
Perrie: ‘Nothing Feels Like You’ from the Salute album
Jade: ‘Nothing Feels Like You,’ as the Sport Relief single.

What do you wish you could go back and tell your teen self?
Leigh: Don’t worry, Leigh-Anne. Your spots will clear up.
Jesy: To not worry and care as much about people think of you.
Perrie: I’d tell her to speak up, tell her to shout out. Talk a bit louder… Be a bit prouder… Tell her she’s beautiful, wonderful, everything she doesn’t see! Listen to our song ‘Little Me’… Pretty much sums it up.
Jade: Not to worry so much and don’t try to fit in.

How would you describe the Wishmaker scent to someone like Perrie who can’t actually smell?
Leigh: Sweet and fruity
Jesy: Fun, fresh, sweet and playful
Jade: Wishmaker is very girly, fruity and I love it. It’s the sort of smell that people will recognise and always ask what you’re wearing.

Jesy exclusively revealed all about the band’s anticipated upcoming album
posted by: Summer Album Interview Jesy Little Mix News

The Little Mix girls aren’t holding back as they open up about their heartbreaks on their upcoming record.

In an exclusive interview, Jesy Nelson told all four of them have drawn inspiration from their love life in the studio. She said:
“I think it’s always easier to write about your experiences through music because more people can relate to them anyway.
“It is a lot more mature, this album. There’s a lot of things that have been said that perhaps nobody has heard yet, if you know what I mean.”

And asked if their fans will know what, or who, they are singing about, she coyly added:
“I think it’s pretty obvious. I think all the songs are very relatable to girls, and our fan base in general.”

Jade explained:
“We’re going through different things. Some of us have gone through heartbreak while others of us have found love. I think it’s a very positive album.”

The girls have been working tirelessly to get all the songs recorded and are planning to release the lead single in October.

Jesy said:
“I love what the first song is about. I love that the first song is like a happy heartbreak song.
“It’s not about being down, it’s all about being like, ‘Yeah!’”
