The 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards took place on Sunday, 8 Nov. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the show was filmed in various locations across the world, including London and Budapest, Hungary.
Girls performing the effervescent single “Sweet Melody, from the just-released sixth studio album, Confetti. Without Jesy Nelson – absent from the EMAs due to illness – Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne delivered a choreo-heavy rendition of “Sweet Melody” while dancing within a futuristic pyramid.
Little Mix won in two categories BEST POP and BEST UK & IRELAND ACT!

“What an honour! To present the MTV EMA’s is a dream, it’s such a special event. We’ve always loved watching the spectacular performances and seeing who everyone has voted to win. This year we’ll also be performing our new single ‘Sweet Melody’, our second EMA performance. The show will go on and we can’t wait!”
Little Mix is also one of the most nominated artists at this year’s show. The girl group nabbed four 2020 MTV EMA nominations: Best Pop, Best Group, Best Virtual Live for “UNCancelled,” and “Best UK & Ireland Act” (which they took home in 2018 & 2019! Will this be their third local act win in a row?!). Little Mixers, you know what to do: VOTE VOTE VOTE!
