Happy International Women’s Day! 💗 I really wanted to share something special this year so I recorded a little cover of one of my all time favourite songs by one of the greatest girl groups of all time. The Investing in Equality Scholarship was set up in collaboration with Leigh-Anne Pinnock and The Black Fund to recognise and scale the work of young leaders who have demonstrated impact in dismantling racial injustice through creative expression and scalable activism.
We filmed the three of them expressing their journeys that led up to the moment they took their places on the #OYW2022 stage, speaking up for what they believe in.
